Direct Drive Tech was founded in 2018 in the Songshan Lake High-tech Development Zone, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. it specialises in robot power modules and robotic joints. It recently released a demo video showcasing its D1 Wheeled Robot, which features automatic docking and separation capabilities. The company has also expressed interest in participating in the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games, scheduled to take place in Beijing from 15 to 17 August.
CEO Zhang Di stated that the company has delivered several million direct-drive motors to date, with January’s order volume alone surpassing half of last year’s total. The company now plans to expand its exports to South Korea, Japan, Europe, and the United States.
