Since most of us have Directory Opus running in the background all the time, we might as well make use of its system-wide hotkeys to perform common tasks we do every day.

In this short video, we'll use a powerful command line utiltity call NIRCMD coupled with a system-wide hotkey to effortlessly flip between two audio outputs. Perhaps you have speakers, wired headphones and some bluetooth headphones and you would like to be able to quickly toggle where your sound is going without a trip to the Audio systray tool.

Frequently, I start a game on my PC, forgetting that my last audio output was my speakers - and I want to use my headphones.

In this short tutorial, I'll show you how to give your audio devices unique, easy to reference names, we'll download and "install" the NIRCMD tool, create a system-wide hotkey in Directory Opus to summon it and change the audio device being used. As a bonus, we'll assign a "quick mute" system-wide hotkey as well.
