8Disco Elysium is one of the greatest games ever made. It can be a lot to take in at first, and sometimes it's not clear what you need to do to succeed and enjoy the game. In this complete beginners guide to Disco Elysium, I will explain to you the basics from the ground up by starting a brand new game so you can watch and even play along. I will explain the controls, the UI, the mechanics, how to explore, solve puzzles, be a detective, chase leads, and level your skills. I detail my thought process, sharing tips and tricks along the way but I spoil nothing about the game or the story. I don't force a particular style or tell you exactly how to win every encounter, but rather help by providing the fundamentals so you can enjoy Disco Elysium at your own pace. If you are thinking of buying the game and want to see early gameplay, or have purchased it but would like some pointers on the basics, this is the guide for you! I am playing using the Final Cut version of Disco Elysium, but the guide is applicable for any version.
