What is this?

It was a community controlled game of Pokémon Gold, where members of a Discord server can react to a message to vote on the inputs to be sent to the game. It is similar in a lot of ways to Twitch Plays Pokémon and Twitter Plays Pokémon, which this is a follow up to. The bot being used: https://github.com/CPunch/Gamebot

Why is it in black & white?

The bot relies on an emulator with no color support. Gold and Silver were GBC games, but many don't know that they were actually backwards compatible with the original Game Boy.

Why are so many things different?
