Here are 8 tips I found useful and use when I play Disgaea. These tips will be specific to Disgaea 1 as the gameplay mechanics are quite different from the future installments. There don't appear to be any changes (if there are and I'm wrong please call me out on it) in the information I talk about so these will apply to the other versions of Disgaea as well.

Additional Info:
- Patch 1.01 increased the Statistician limit to 900 (sub)
- According a gamefaqs thread (by EPR-radar) double killing every 10th floor boss works. I have not verified if this is works in the NA version.
- Patch 1.03 Added healing EXP gain
