I start off against a whole hella lot of zombies. It reminds me of disgaea 1 where every monster in the netherworld challenges Laharl for the title of overlord. Whatever, we catch them all no problem.

Im at 30 hours played but I havent beat the game yet. I easily beat DD2 by this time. Little do I know its pretty damn big.

I meet with the senators and pass a 1000 mana bill for martial training. Martial arts levels are like the trials of ordeals. They're good for grinding. I'll get there but the levels I got from Item World and the gear is more than good for now.
