YouTube has been progressing away from systems that people can still game towards more algorithms. Like and Dislike are clearly becoming algorithm buttons for tuning one's own recommendations.

This is the discussion from one of my chat streams about the legitimate use of the Dislike button as part of tuning one's recommendations, which renders any use as a "voting system on video quality" obsolete.
