DIVE (weighted spawn mod) high score - 64 million +
61Tom Hargreaves made a clone of Alex Fink's DIVE (the whole inspiration tree is quite long but is well described at https://alexfink.github.io/dive/ in the footer). In Tom's clone, found at https://sphere.chronosempire.org.uk/~HEx/dive/, candidate seeds are generated in the same manner as Alex Fink's original. However, rather than every seed having the same probability to spawn, this version weights the spawn probabilities by the number of tiles on the board divisible by that seed. This minor change makes it far less likely to get noncombining bursts, the typical death knell of standard DIVE gameplay.
The meta shifts somewhat as well - I've found that while Alex Fink's version rewards climbing up chains of primes of the iterative form 2p+1 (so something like 89, 179, 359, 719..), that doesn't do much for you in Tom's DIVE as the requisite large seeds won't spawn as often. Tom's version rather rewards aggressively combining large and small tiles, unlocking a much larger number of seeds in the process, and keeping your eye on when and how you can combine minor accumulators so that they take less space.
This particular game demolishes my prior high score of 2 million, but really at the far end of the tail that's not quite as large of a margin as it sounds. It is still an absurdly lucky game, and exceptionally kind with the final spawns of the 5666627 tile. There are also at least 3 points where it seemed over and managed to scrape by.
