I wanted to create a guide for this quest. This video contains 'only driftwood' locations you must visit for 'seed of power' quest. Yes, the quest which gives you contamination set.
We meet Daeyena again in Driftwood near 'trial for all seasons' quest location, we had a nice chat in fort joy. But things seem entirely different in Driftwood. I tried a lot (wasted lot of time in fact LOL) to extend her story through dialogues, I waited for peaceful outcome. But seems it is not possible, so I decided to go for a fight after learning that it is going to be inevitable.
[After driftwood we will continue this quest in Arx.]
*First location--- 'Black pits gates', where you find magister Herman & Cecile. With persuasion Magister Herman gives contaminated chest piece. After doing that Magister Cecil will reveal that another spore went to Arx. There is also 'spore research report' in same area which gives 'trigger spore' skill.
**Second Location-- Near Dirftwood field, close to elven camp, Daeyena is standing. Here she will perform some wicked thing to get an armour piece.
As soon as I learned that Daeyena has lost her mind I decided to fight.
After defeating Daeyena you will get 3 armour pieces of contaminated set. Boots, gloves & pants. You already got Chest piece now only one remains which is available in Arx.
Combat tactic: When battle starts, Daeyena will get help from two hungry flowers. Now, these hungry flowers are immune to poison damage naturally. They have 7 points in retribution. Which means that 35% damage is reflected to the attacker.
Fane could have survived this encounter even if he attacked hungry flower but that would have done nearly 1031 damage to him.
To fight enemies with retribution, you must get immunity from same attack damage you inflict on them. Physical attack is not an option. As hungry flowers are weak to 'fire damage', Fane consumed large fire resistance potion. I am using 'five star diner' talent which doubles the effectiveness of potion, so he is not only immune but heals with fire damage.
Spiky trunk has lot of ability points & should not be given chance to attack. As for Daeyena & Tyrille they are not much trouble.
