Ranger is an example for diminishing returns. For every 5m you are away from your target the Ranger-Dmg-multiplier is increased by 2%-points.
at 5m the multiplier is 1,02
at 50m the multiplier is 1,2
on my FAL the optimal range is 38 m, beyond that the base damage of the FAL drops
Despite the Ranger multiplier increases, the Total Weapon Damage drops.
But the damage drop is less than the damage drop with any other talent.
