Taking place in the same universe as The First title (The Dark Descent) Machine for pigs takes place in London 1899 New Years Eve. This game focuses on Oswald Mandus , an industrialist and a butcher. Mandus had returned from an expedition in Mexico where tragedy struck. After being struck by a nasty fever he began having frequent dreams about dark machinery until regaining conciousness.
Months have passed upon awakening , hearing the roar of engines and a machine starting up. During the game the journal entries , documents and audio recordings shed light on the past months which refer to mandus' writings on what to do next.
