DJI Mic | New 2.4 GHz Audio Microphone For Two-Channel Recordings
5DJI is now expanding its portfolio for filmmakers in the audio area and has just introduced the new "DJI Mic". This is a wireless microphone system for two-channel recordings.
DJI then also praises the new "Mic" explicitly for video recording and wants to give content creators a new product to take their own videos "to the next level".
What do you get here: A two-channel radio link with a receiver unit and two transmitter modules with an integrated microphone. DJI promises a range for radio transmission of up to 250 meters and also speaks of up to 15 hours of battery life.
However, this applies in combination with the included charging station, which also serves as a power bank (2600 mAh). The system itself should be sufficient for up to 5.5 hours of audio recordings at a time.
The receiver connects to any camera or DJI devices such as the DJI Action 2 via the 3.5 mm jack socket or USB-C. The system can also be used on smartphones via USB-C or Lightning connection. The transmitters also have a 3.5 millimeter jack input, which can be used to connect a lavalier microphone if desired.
