Almost a year has passed since the release of the DJI Osmo Action 4 action camera, which means that we can expect the announcement of a new model soon. Information appeared on the network that the fifth generation will bring with it two versions of DJI Osmo Action cameras.
According to the UAE regulator TDRA, DJI has registered a new action camera model called the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. Although the documents do not reveal the specifications, it is stated that the device with the model number AC004 will be released under the name DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. It is also the first camera with a “Pro” attachment in the DJI line.
According to insiders, the Osmo Action 5 Pro will feature a 1-inch sensor similar to the one used in DJI's Osmo Pocket 3 handheld camera. This will allow DJI's new model to compete with the Insta360 One R, which also uses a 1-inch sensor developed in cooperation with Leica.
In addition to the Pro version, a regular DJI Osmo Action 5 model is expected to be introduced, which will be similar to last year's model.
