[Original Thoughts of the Wii U Version]
So its final here, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, that's one long grass name. Speaking of long things, the game seems as if it will be just as long as well. This playthrough will mainly feature me playing by myself. I'm having a blast even though the first world is rather slow paced but I wouldn't call it easy since I haven't 100% one level yet, at least not on the first try.

The controls are pretty tight but the control scheme feels really weird on the Gamepad. The Wiimote and Nunchuck control scheme feels much better for this game since it plays like the old Donkey Kong Country Returns. It could be that I haven't played the last game in awhile but it seems as if they changed a few details. I could be wrong; but it seems that the only way to gain any height off of enemies is by pressing the jump button the moment you land on them rather than holding the button, and for what ever reason you now need to hold a button in order to hold onto a sliding vines or to cling on to grassy ceilings/walls. Also there are some very strict hit boxes, getting too close to enemies will cost you in this game.
