DmC: Devil May Cry is a video game developed by Ninja Theory and published by Capcom for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is not related to the events that occurred in the numbered games. It was released on January 15th, 2013 in North America, Australia and Europe and January 18th in Japan.

I've been a huge fan of the DMC games since the very first one way back when, so I had mixed feelings about this one. However, after playing it for a while now I can honestly say Ninja Theory have done an excellent job with this. The storyline is completely separate (think parallel universey) and I'm impressed with the tweaks and changes they've made to the mythology. I hope you guys enjoy this one!

Set in an alternate world to the other Devil May Cry games, DMC Devil May Cry sees a very different Dante living a life of excess binge drinking and other types of social behaviour I'm sure his mother wouldn't approve of. Mundus is no longer a gigantic angel-like god but is now in the form of a corporate banker on the verge of controlling the world and owning "everything that's worth owning" through debt. I bet he doesn't have a dinosaur though, so in yo face Mundy. Dante is chased down by a Hunter Demon before being aided by Kat, a member of The Order, a group dedicated to eradicating demons and led by Dante's twin brother Vergil. Vergil brings Dante to their old home in a bid to reclaim Dante's memory and have him embrace his purpose as a half-angel half-demon Nephilim.
