The Guard Button in DNF Duel shouldn't be used to block everything. You should use the Guard Button to instead BRAKE your running animation. This way you can stop your dash recovery completely and properly position yourself. The movement speed in DNF Duel isn't stiff. It feels stiff because people have not used this mechanic. Using the Guard Button to stop your movement allows you to better play the neutral game since you can easily manipulate where your character stops on screen. Hopefully this helps enlighten the button's inclusion. Enjoy!
