Do THIS and you’ll be ahead of the game 📈 #socialmediatips
SAVE these Golden Rules of Content Creation.
Start strong - You've got 3 seconds to grab attention (really it’s more like 1.5sec) Hooks are everything in short form content, become the master of them. Use a question, a surprising fact, a funny scene, a subliminal action, or anything unexpected to make them stop scrolling.
Done is better than perfect- Don't get caught in the "perfect" trap. Polished is great, but waiting forever to post or film something because the “condition arn’t right”, is just holds you back. Get it out there, learn from feedback, and keep creating!
Don’t fall in love with your content - It's easy to get attached to your content, especially when you’ve put hours of work into it. But sometimes it just doesn't land, while that other piece you through up in 5 mins does. And if you put too much emotional energy into, it’s easier to get discouraged and deflated. Analyze what worked and what didn't, adapt your strategy, and move on to the next piece.
Focus on one platform- Pick your platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and become the master of it. Learn the ins and outs, what content resonates there, and build a strong presence. Then you can move on an expand to the others. All successful creators blew up on one platform first!
Patience and Persistence- Content creation is a marathon, not a sprint. Success takes time, effort, and a whole lotta persistence. Don't get discouraged by slow growth. Keep putting out quality content, interacting with your audience, and watch your community blossom! All it takes is 1 piece of content to go viral and it’ll change your life.
Always have a CTA- I’m not talking about always selling something, but telling people to follow, like, comment, share with a friend, or ask a question to spark engagement. Engagement takes encouragement.
Don’t post and ghost- Respond to comments, answer questions, participate in discussions. Show your audience you care, and they'll care back. I always stick around for at least the first hour after I post a new piece of content, and then check in periodically every few hours for the first 24-48 to make sure all questions or comment are responded to. So hi! Leave me a comment 😊
Have Fun- I like to always remember to have fun. Now not all my content is centered around it, I defiantly experiment more so with certain platforms than others, but I’m never afraid to just try something that’s just for fun. Social media can become a grind and very robotic if you let it, so don’t. After all, if you’re not having fun, why are you doing it?
