In a recent interview with Tetsuya Nomura, he states that Final Fantasy characters like Cloud, Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, and more, are becoming harder to fit into the Kingdom Hearts games. With so many original Kingdom Hearts characters now, there has been much less room for Final Fantasy ones.
