While the Echo Show line of smart speakers also displays Amazon ads that can't be turned off in the settings (these are "hints" for things you can do with Alexa), the new #Echo #Spot speaker uses its display primarily to show time, date, and weather information. There is, however, one type of Amazon #ads that is displayed on the small speaker's display: When Amazon has special offers that it thinks you might be interested in - like a new book by your favorite author - they'll also show up on the Echo Spot.
