Back in 2021, I made a mod called Shattered Time, which was inspired by Corpse Party and Makoto Mobius. A review was done a few months after where the person basically called ST a "diet version" of Amor Fati. At the time, I didn't know what that meant, since I never played the mod.

Then I saw that I did have the files for it. I just downloaded it without knowing what the mod was exactly, only that a ton of people were talking about it. So despite it being taken down, I was able to play and go through it myself. That's when I saw what the person meant.

AF has a story where MC tries to save Sayori while experiencing time looping on itself, all while trying to defy fate. ST has a story where MC tries to save Natsuki after it's discovered she died the previous night, being sent back in time by Amy to figure out how she died and save her. All the while, we have the overarching villain of the Perfect World Anthology taunt MC for trying to change fate...

So some similarities are present between both mods. Considering the original ST was kind of simple and short (you can finish it within an hour if you speed through it) , I felt it could've been done so much better. With that review still rattling around in my head, I kind of took it as a challenge. I gave the story a complete overhaul and studied AF to get a handle for the story structure, what the mod tried to accomplish, what I didn't like, and how to not fall into those same traps.
