Dominions 5 Basic Nation Analysis - MA Machaka
135Been WAY too long since the last one of these!
MA Machaka definitely isn't a powerhouse of a nation; unfocused mages, weak cap-onlies, and a distinctly mediocre troop lineup leave them in an uncomfortable place where neither their early nor their midgame is likely to be especially strong. But that said, the nation does have a number of interesting tricks up its sleeve; incredibly cheap pygmy archers, powerful (if somewhat overpriced) sacreds. 1-compoint assassins, easy access to high-level nature magic, and the ability to use some of the game's most cost-effective PG chassis are all tools that can be leveraged to help compensate for the overall weakness of the national roster. Succeeding in a multiplayer game as MA Machaka will be tough but it certainly isn't impossible - so long as you can leverage your perceived lack of threat to survive long enough to put your strong research to work, lategame Machaka can make use of Lamia Queens, Worm Mages, and potentially high-level Death summons to stay competitive.
