Enjoy! We all have those days where we decide to return to our old favorite games and give them another playthrough or two. Recently that happened with me and DK64. While figuring out that you can play through the game in an unique way and executing it as such. I felt like I just HAD to remake my old playthrough from some time ago even if the old one still held up today. Well I'm back to perform for you. If you know your time, you can join in on this fun too. Put your hands together if you want to clap as I take you through this brand new playthrough! ...Hope you enjoy this.
First thing to mention is that this will be a playthrough that focuses on just getting all 201 golden bananas and the only other collectables needed to achieve that. That being blueprints, fairies, and boss keys. Everything else I'm ignoring or won't pay that much mind to. Which brings me to the second thing that's the big, new theme for the playthrough. This is somewhat of a reverse-level playthrough. Unlocking Creepy Castle, setting the Kongs up there, and working my way back down to Jungle Japes! I say somewhat because Hideout Helm gets worked into somewhere the middle of all this and unlocking later levels does require that I quickly visit earlier ones and beat up a few bosses. Also multiple glitches and exploits abound and most of the cutscenes will be skipped.
This first part will act as a prologue and setup to the rest of the playthrough to come.
