25From Generations Beyond, home of the Long Island Arcade Club it's a look at Nintendo's classic from 1981...Donkey Kong!
After the failure of Radar Scope, Nintendo gave Shigeru Miyamoto a crack on developing a new game. When plans fell through on making a Popeye game Mr. Miyamoto came up with a new story. An ape escapes from the zoo and kidnaps the girl and climbs up to the top of a construction site and it's up to you as Jumpman to save her! What's after that is history!
There's been so much devoted to this game from feature films and documentaries and this is just my take. (Still wish I could have gotten up to the 4th Pie Factory screen)
