Donkey Kong Country | First Playthrough - Part 2
1The wheel spun Dark Souls 2. I chose to play Donkey Kong Country instead. Here we are today with my first ever playthrough of the Donkey Kong Country series! I did play on the Switch SNES emulator so I had the rewind function to make it much easier, was it cheating? Yes. Do I care? Not really. I don't think I would have enjoyed the games as much as I did without it honestly. Just a problem I have where I get super frustrated when I'm just dying and making no progress, which is funny since I'm playing through Souls games.
Anyway onto the DKC. I loved them all. I think 1 is probably the weakest, it had the ideas in place, but 2 and 3 built on them and made them better. DKC2 is my favorite of the trio, I just really like the dynamics between Diddy and Dixie and also Captain K Rool was a sick boss fight. Frustrating parts were the honey levels and the Wasp boss in 2 and the Clam boss in 3. I'm very bad at what those 2 were trying to do. Overall fun experiences, and I honestly think the first time I've beaten a platformer since I was a kid.
