Re-upload, long overdue, over what I think is probably still my favorite individual episode from the second iteration of "The Big Picture" at the previous site. Spurred by the then-recent release of Taika Waititi's "JO-JO RABBIT," it's a primer on the catastrophically-overlooked crossover between the early foundations of the Nazi Party and its founders' deeply juvenile obsessions with what we'd call "nerd culture" pop-ephemera of their day; along with the disservice we do to history in pretending the Third Reich was REALLY playing about with "German mythology" and "lost history" instead of their own ill-informed pulp-fanfiction (and the rare but instructive instances where modern explorations of the same have actually gotten it right)
