Yes, YouTube made the decision that you need a minimum of 1000 subs and 4000h of watchtime in 12 months in order to be monetized.
That means, for channels like mine, we lose the monetization capability.
But everyone, let's be honest here. If you are under this limit, you most likely are not making a lot of money, like me. Also, this means that, once you do get over the limit, ad revenue WILL be higher since ads are not served on crap, spam accounts.
Don't give up, you can do it. As long as you do this as a passion and love it, you'll be good :D
