Don't Look It in the Eye (MIDI) [from Hell's Bane]
8Next up from Hell's Bane is this one that I had a ton of fun putting together. The first half of the track is pretty quiet. The scene I pictured for it was someone wandering around through a dark cavern, unaware of what lurks further in it. The louder second half is what I imagined when that explorer eventually encounters the strange creatures that dwell in that cavern, and I wanted to have a buildup that culminates in all the instruments coming together. Some of the chord progression... may have been inspired by Calexico's "Banderilla", famously used in season 2 of Breaking Bad. Regardless, I'm super satisfied with the end result, and I really hope you enjoy it!
