NOTE: Shock's 'question' fails on several other various level and has been answered many times over. HOWEVER, this particular answer (even though I answered this way) is actually an incorrect one. That makes this, in part, a response to myself (a video which I will actually repost up in the future)
NOTE 2: I know that I am not one of the best speakers about subjects that are not my specialty... and 'philosophy of science' is one such category.

Some people (e.g. me) try to answer Shock's 'question' by saying that they can't prove a negative. That is true and I can agree to that. But what few to none [that I have seen] appear to take into account is that they CAN, however, disprove a positive statement/position.
"The Sun revolves around the Earth." and "The Earth is flat." are both positive statements that were disproved and replaced by the general ideas of "The Sun does not revolve around the Earth" and "The Earth is not flat", which are the negative of the original. Disproving a positive is the basis of all science and the only reason that science works the way that it does. "God exists" is a positive claim, so it can be possible to disprove it 'as it currently stands' [thus, acknowledging that the fundamentalists will change the parameters]. One can effectively prove a negative by disproving a positive (if we only currently know of 2 opposing positions). So, while the negative isn't technically ACTUALLY proven, it is EFFECTIVELY proven for now.
