i did a little extra testing on the switch port after recording, here are my findings:

- no, the little battery meter in-game doesn't seem to correspond to your switch battery? it stayed full after i played a bunch of animal crossing undocked, unlike the system battery meter. i think the in-game battery meter might be tied to story progression? can't really remember, it's been a while since i played this
- you can use the touch screen to play the game if you want! given the nature of the game, this might be a good idea if you're going to play handheld. since i need to record my gameplay, i've gotta play docked, so this feature doesn't help me too much
- unfortunately, you CAN'T plug in an external mouse and play the game with that. i tried both plugging my mouse into the dock's usb ports and plugging it directly into the switch using an a-to-c adapter, and no dice. i assume this is a system limitation, since the home menu didn't respond to my mouse either
