This method uses the green blocks though they aren't necessary to reach the keyhole. To see an easy way to reach the keyhole without the green blocks watch the video linked below. To use the green blocks then complete the Green Switch Palace which is unlocked by using the Secret Exit in Donut Plains 2.
Simply make it to the wall of green blocks near the end and run into it to run up the wall. Grab the key and take it to the keyhole.
