Dood Plays: Sonic CD Ep.4 - Quartz Quadrant
1Sonic the Hedgehog CD is a 2D sidescrolling platformer with an emphasis on how fast you can complete a level, or zone. It was originally for the Sega CD (or the Mega-CD if you're from outside of North America), but has since been ported to the PC, the GameCube, Playstation 2, PSN, Xbox Live, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
The Sega CD didn't do too well in sales, but it's good that this game survived to see a port of this scale. The game was officially ported to the above listed platforms by Sega, and Christian Whitehead of the Sonic Retro forums, using his own 'Retro Engine.' It is also being used to port other Sonic games to different platforms currently.
