Doom 3 alpha playthrough
0After Quake 3, id Software, the creators of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Quake, returned back to Doom. The new title in the series was called Doom 3 and took the series into a bit different direction. While the first two games were arcade "run and gun" shooters with fast movement, Doom 3 was more of a slower paced horror shooter. I'm playing here the leaked E3 2002 alpha version which amazed people with great graphics and atmosphere at the time. This leaked version is not the best optimized for modern hardware and doesn't look and run the best, this is so because it was made for 2002/2003 hardware and I'm running it on my current system. We can see some differences between this version and the final game, some models look a bit different, the HUD looks different and it could be said it feels even more atmospheric. The game ends by the monster at the end ripping your head off but I prevented him in doing so.
