Doom Eternal has an extra life mode which introduces a lighter version of permadeath. The goal of this mode is to survive to the end. You can pick up extra lives along the way and in fact, to earn the Running Up the High Score trophy or achievement you will need to have at least 10 extra lives on you when you reach the end.
