Doom Eternal PS4-pro/PC gameplay comparison. And A Little Something For Hugo Martin!!
0Now I know that I am pretty average when it comes to Doom Eternal's combat so I figured it would be best to really test the question.
"Does the PC with mouse and keyboard make be a better slayer?"
Well, as of writing this description, I haven't seen the video since I am waiting for the damn 4k version to hurry up.
Update: I had to reupload the video, and did see the video, and oh boy that PC section is embarrassing!
But I can safely say that I want to do a follow up video showcasing my skill from this video to- well the future. Since I have been practicing and messing around with key binds. As well as the fact that during the PC gameplay, I felt there was many times that I should have died and I was way to slow and clunky without the game brutally punishing me like I was expecting.
Well I will end on this whole combat section by saying that around the time of recording the gameplay I thought that at pushed to max my skill level was maybe at ultra violence at best. During the time of me making the video, there was a few times when playing levels beyond Exultia, where I had to lower the difficulty, even a section where I put it to ultra violence during a slayer gate to test and see if my skill level was at ultra violence at best, and it is in my opinion.
But since I have been practicing and honing my skills since the recording has been done for some days now as of this writing. I was able to go back through the sections I lowered the difficulty and handle them on nightmare now.
It's funny but I have to get the weapon swapping and weapon bindings on point, and then I get to a point where I'm satisfied for the moment and then..
I have to master using my grenades and flame belch, as well as swapping grenades and perfect uses of flame and nade combos as well as using the chainsaw at the most opportune times. Then when I think I have that down to where I'm happy at them moment oh no...!
I now have to master movement, as that is one thing I've been doing wrong, AND NO I DON"T STAND STILL!!! See the thing is this part is lot harder for me to get the grasp on believe it or not, here is why.
You see, When you watch people like zero master, or Xiae you may notice real quickly that there are moving like jumping beans while air strafing side to side and such. You see the thing is, since I practiced using the heavy rifle and balista a lot in my combos, they require some precision in combat, you can't just shoot those weapons willy nilly and expect great results, and mind you I said great results, not just shoot balista for damage mind set. But because of this, It's hard for me to jump and air strafe around while performing precise weak spot executions while also maintaining the situation of my surrounding as well as the training the uses of my tactically.
Anyhow, the final note is that the title is not some shitty click bait title that doesn't know how to be a click bait title. The end of the video is a section that is dedicated to the people at id software and Hugo Martin.

Doom Eternal doesn't need to make you feel the best, it needs to make you feel powerful. So don't be ashamed of whatever skill level your at.
