Avoiding the middle ground cratemaze is advisable for the most part, and unless you like fooling around with constantly going up/down you're better off leaving it until everything has teleported in, and the top-dwelling denizens are reduced to fertiliser.
Then it's just a case of hiding down a dead-end and slaughtering the lot as it comes for you.
Cyberdemon fight here's a bit of a joke to be honest. Especially with TWO of those Invulnerability Spheres in the room without any sort of difficulty involved in grabbing either. And the secrets are very rewarding.
Although the Megasphere's not even a secret item. Figure that out!
