(Doom II) MAP23: Barrels o' Fun UV MAX
I tried playing this map with the wad aod (the one that replaces Hellknights and Barons with powerful monsters called "Angels of Death") but it turned out almost impossible to complete because they die hard and kill you almost everytime at the part with the Pinkies and Pain Elementals.
The explosion animation of the barrels got changed and if many barrels explode at the same time, it might start lagging like hell (you can see this in the beginning here).
The map itself isn't too hard but you have to be careful when facing the Spidermastermind, it's capable of killing you in a few seconds. The only thing I hate in this map are the many Pain Elementals and the round room where you get the Rocket Launcher.
I played this with 1 little change, the enhanced look of the weapons, projectiles and animations of enemies, which comes from the wad Bdoom47. It makes the game look smoother, changes some of the sound effects but, unfortunately, also changes some of the game physics, for example:
-Revenant rockets fly in smaller curves, making it harder to avoid them
-Spidermastermind shoots like 3-times as fast as normally
-when you shoot with the BFG, the screen shakes a bit
+the Berserk fist seems much stronger than before
