(Doom II) MAP08: Tricks and Traps UV MAX
Well, I was bored because I tried to make videos of several hellish difficult maps like 29 from HR2 or maps 29 + 30 from Shai'Tan's Luck but I always failed on them, even though I was close to beating them all.
Now I wanted to do something fun, I played map 08 of the original Doom II without going for a good time or anything, however I played it with 2 changes which make it a bit harder. The first one's the enhanced look of the weapons, projectiles and animations of enemies, which comes from the wad Bdoom47. It makes the game look smoother, changes some of the sound effects but, unfortunately, also changes some of the game physics, for example:
-Revenant rockets fly in smaller curves, making it harder to avoid them
-Spidermastermind shoots like 3-times as fast as normally
-when you shoot with the BFG, the screen shakes a bit
+the Berserk fist seems much stronger than before
The 2nd change I made comes from the wad aod, which stands for "Angel of Death". It replaces Hellknights and Barons with monsters called just the same, Angels of Death. These guys are very dangerous, they have about the same HP as Barons but their firepower is insane. When they shoot at you, many little bullet projectiles will be shot out, they don't deal much damage but the bad thing is they can bounce off walls and hit you multiple times (see how they raped that Cyberdemon!). They can also throw some kind of bomb at you which also releases these bullets.
Oh yeah, these monsters come from the mod called "Doom X" made by the user Melvinflynt.
