Doom VFR Review
4Doom (2016) brought back the Doom Series back screaming into the gaming world. With Doom 3 commercial failure and Doom 4 being canceled. It was predicted that the newest addition to the series would flop. Some predicting that the game would be just another Call of Duty clone.
They were wrong.
On the tails of that game was Doom VFR. A Doom VR game had so much potential. A lot of promise and some strong coat tails to launch it. This game however, fell very short of both Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal.
The game takes place around the same time of Doom (2016). Not as Doom Slayer, but someone controlling a robot body similar to Dr. Hayden.
Although the game was spec'd for the Vive, this test was done on the Oculus Quest 2. The gameplay itself does carry over to The Quest 2 without too much problem, but that gameplay spits in the name of Doom.
