"We all thought we were going to do something different that day. This wasn't just some run of the mill demolition or another eradication mission. We were going to be one of the first to launch a rocket into space; we were going to make something for a change. I think that's what got the boys fighting with such vigor that day, why even when things looked the darkest we salvaged it from the dirt and made that rocket our own. It was because we all genuinely thought we were going to make history.

I still remember riding that lift down, watching as the engines cut out and the rocket came down hard onto the other teams base. That's when I realized it: this was just another demolition job, 'sept this time the bomb was different and a whole lot more costly. Lotta' people died launching that rocket into the air, but the only hero that died that day was the one who rode in it."
