Doraemon Unused Somari Sonic The Hedgehog NES FC Pirate Waixing Hummer Team Bonus Special Stage
So, the Somari bonus level taken from Sonic the Hedgehog Master System was ported over into Somari, then hacked into another game? Well, yes! The confusion and convolution certainly does become more complicated and interesting. The gist is that there was an official Sonic The Hedgehog game game made by Chinese unlisenced developer Team Hummer that developed the Infamous Somari. A different Chinese game developer Waixing took Somari and made it into almost an entirely different game with equally abysmal quality.
Somari, the original was built from the ground up with no source code directly taken from the Sega Master System version by Team hummer Somari features subpar music, wonky hit detection, slippery and clunky controls, glitches and bad level design complete with insane difficulty making for an overall unforgiving experience.
Somari is the original version and it includes the bonus round based off of the Master System's version. The bonus round can be accessed in normal gameplay by completing any level with 100 or more rings.
This is where things become slightly more interesting. There were versions that actually replaced Mario with Sonic and was dubbed Sonic The Hedgehog as well as a few other minor hacks created both unofficially officially by Team Hummer themselves!
There walso Family Kid found on a 2-in-1 multicart made by an unknown company featuring Aladdin as well. The difference between the other hacks are just palette swaps and the mascot replacing Somari and or Sonic. It's not that great honestly and maybe worth a few seconds to locate a dump of the game just out of curiosity.
Lastly, another infamous Chinese game developer company called Waixing Technologies created an unfitting elaborate hack that improves the instruments but features and astonishingly worse score even though it now oddly uses the NES's DPCM channel for drums with Athena's hacked sound driver. This version completely replaces the title screen, palette and sprite swaps. Level design is surprisingly decent in leu of what is expected by third-world, unlisenced videogame developers.
The bonus round exists in this version but was never actually made accessible in-game. The palette was also changed from Here is the code to access the unused Somari bonus round in Doraemon.

Here's a new thing I just discovered literally 15 minutes ago. Just because, you know, why not?
The only difference is the grey palette background as opposed to black as it was originally in Somari / Sonic The Hedgehog [Ch].nes
The music is bad, typical of a Chinese developed videogame. It was way worse in Somari.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, there is only one level. Attempting to select a different bonus stage just loads glitched-out invalid data.
Doraemon title screen music modifier
86C4:2B:28 or NES Game Genie code LXKAGVAX will play the unused bonus music at the title screen.
I can't believe this exists. Mind blown.
