A Beat em up game sequel to the second DD game. Billy and Jimmy Lee returned home after defeating the Black Warriors to avenge Marion's death. Now they are on a new adventure from the so-called fortune teller. She tells them the legend of the three Rosetta stones needed to recover and tells them to go to Egypt to see how the stones can help them. This game features a shop where the Lee brother can purchase weapons, power-ups, extra buddies to help you when you die, energy, and extra lives to help with with the fortune teller's quest. The power-ups make Billy and Jimmy twice their size and giving them more damage to the enemies and longer range of attacks. In Double Dragon 3, the games graphics departs from the cartoon like style and moving towards the more realistic looking characters. In my opinion, this game is better than the Game Boy port but still far from being the best. The ability to throw objects like the knives and picking up heavy objects and throw and dump them on your enemies have been removed. This time the game costs you real money to purchase items from the shop making this game a coin sucker. The graphics are terrible and t I didn't like the story as much as the first two games. The NES version of DD3 was better. This game is the hardest I've played. The weapons are not always that helpful. Most of the time I just use kicks, jump and spin kicks, and sometimes punches.

Played on Dosbox 0.74.
