They actually did add more heroes to the mode, wow! Let's hope they do make a custom map/holdout mode after Wraith Night is over. Lanaya is one of the best newcomers to the mode due to her deflection for shielding her from damage for a little bit and psi blades for clearing out waves. She is squishy early on and mana dependent but if you get past that you'll do well. Just be very careful with certain creeps, like the slarks,little golems,spiderlings, etc. I did ok considering this was the only time I was actually able to pick her without her being taken already! I just wish my team didn't love sharing Lich ultimate with me like it's a present...

She definitely would love an omniknight on the team. We did not have one for some reason.

I love desolator on her though for sure. Not so certain if Butterfly is worth the cost but it is rather nice to have evasion on her. Yes, I did make a mistake buying that helm of the dominator though. I find her ultimate is underwhelming in this mode though and meld is highly situational. Maxing Deflection first and keeping 2 into psi-blades early on seems to work out. I foresee her becoming like Axe and Omniknight, a staple in most Wraith Night teams.

Wraith Night is an very awesome game mode for DOTA 2 to celebrate Frostivus 2013. It is a PVE 5 player mode in which you defend Skeleton-I mean Wraith King as he is in the middle of transforming. You face waves of monsters and other familiar faces including large boss monsters with their own gimmicks. Not all heroes are pickable and some have their abilities adjusted, Windranger for instance has a new ult and Axe has Battle Rage to help his allies/himself instead of Battle Hunger. Some items are also new/changed.
