dotAge - Let's Play (demo version) Full Playthrough - Gameplay
6In this Let's Play Video, I will be playing the dotAGE demo. This game is a turned based city survival, resource and time management, colony builder.
You start of with 3 villagers and try to expand your town to fight a Doom Prophecy. Ignoring the Dice Roll mechanics, the survival simulation was fun. I enjoyed figuring out how to expand the village while securing new food sources to feed everybody before the food supply runs out.
The only problem I have with this game is the RNG mechanic of the dice roll where you spend all your efforts in fighting the final event and then you could still lose to a bad dice roll. The various negative consequence aren't that major, so the best strategy is actually NOT to fight the events and just simply use your workers to increase resources and grow your population instead. This game is still in Development so these broken mechanics may change in the future. I spoke to the developer and he did say he is working to solve this problem and balance out the RNG problem. I'm looking forward to the new updates. In the meantime, Enjoy the gameplay video!
