Double Feature (Part 2)
This is it, the final film from my school's film festival!
This is "Double Feature", and yes, this is the one I'm involved with.
I (as in peanut3423; my real name is Alex Rochon for identification's sake) am one of the five people involved with the production of this film, and I also have brief acting roles in this film (both in the "audience" and the "film"). So yeah, this is my "official" physical debut on YouTube.
"Double Feature" is a pun- it's a film all about subtle connections between an audience of people watching a film and the film they are watching. For an early example, a person in the audience offers his friend a choice of several bags of candy... just as the "film" they are watching is at a scene where a guy named Louie offers two gangsters a choice of newspapers. So be on the lookout for subtle connections like that in this film. The film itself is technically a witty comedy, yet the film the people in the audience are "watching" is a gangster film. We never see the film they're watching, but we hear its dialogue. Likewise, we see the people in the audience but we never hear them.
So yeah, you're technically watching two films at the same time - hence the title "Double Feature". Get it? ;)
Yes, we filmed this entire thing inside an actual theatre. It's a pretty major one in my area, too. I'm really surprised we were allowed in, but we were! And filming was a success, mostly due to our director, Neil, and his amazing directorial skills. In the end, I think this came out excellently. The jokes are, for the most part, understandable and the acting on both the "audience" and "film" actors' part was nearly flawless. Thank you all for the amazing experience.
But above all, enjoy this film!
...But please, try not to make comments such as "now I know what you look like". I uploaded this to share this excellent short film to the world, not to promote myself. ...I mean, I've got standards for f***'s sake!
