It is now, after I take control of the Hellstorm cannon, that things become a bit more difficult. The only way for vehicles to assault Alexander's last defenses is to travel down the gullet of the cannon, thus opening a window for IG forces for flood down it unafraid of the cannon's primitive purging fire.

I get to work building a base around the relic so that I can reinforce directly to the front lines without delay. Meanwhile the turncoat Imperial's fight against their once allies and are able to keep them at bay for a time from pouring in from the northern path, where troops can only travel.

I also use the Titan canon against Alexander as he tries to reconquer the control position. Once my base is built up enough I start sending troops through the north passage and try to soften up the resistance there. I eventually find that Alexander has requisitioned another Baneblade from a factory in that area.

I start to move my armor up the gorge to remove this last annoyance from the Tau's path to victory.
