Today I’m taking a look at whether Downwell is worth playing in 2021. If you’ve never heard of Downwell it is a short indie rougelike published by Devolver Digital who you might know for publishing Fall Guys, Hot Line Miami, OlliOlli, Enter the Gungeon, Gris, Pikuniku, Katana Zero, and Gato Roboto. If you’ve never heard of a rouglike before think games like Hades, Spelunky, or Risk of Rain where if you die the game starts all over. That might sound frustrating but like I say in the review it’s really not and makes the game addicting especially once you’ve beaten the game, it’s fun to go back and speedrun it while listening to the Downwell OST. If you do decide to get the game it’s on playstation, pc, xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
