...ok, with that all of the way, I can now say.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAA IT'S FINALLY OUT
I've been working on this thing for almost a FULL YEAR, with actual development starting May of 2020, but other attempts at the game and conceptualizing started WAY before that. I'm pretty sure my expected release of the demo was Summer 2020 but GEEZ this thing took forever. Game dev is hard, folks.
DracoFighter's final version is planned to have 4 characters, a story mode, multiple stages, and a low flat cost with access to everything. Due to how long it took, I'm wary about any time predictions for even the next character, but hopefully it'll be faster since all foundations are in place. However, DracoFighter will always take a back seat to more important things, so don't hold your breath.
I'm happy to answer any questions about the game that aren't spoilers, thank you very much for your interest and any help with promotion! I'd also like to thank all the people who helped DracoFighter's development, though I already do so in the game's credit screen; I really do wish I could list each and every name, but it would be impossible...
While my goal for this demo was to make a fighting game by myself, and while I did kind of succeed at that, there were so many helping hands involved. My family, who agreed to playtesting the game locally and giving me feedback. My friends, some of whom also helped with playtesting, others giving advice, and all of which encouraged me to finish development. People in the Godot Discord, who gave coding help. Even the people who made tutorials or forum posts that I looked back on years later.
For the final game I'll most likely get more direct help from a team, and hopefully then I can have a more complete list of credits.

**99% of the animations are hand-drawn but I did use some vector trickery for a few sprites. However, this was also done by hand without automatic tweening or anything so I can still call it hand-drawn, right?
