Dragon Age 2 with Commentary [Part 82]: Price of Peace
Events come to head this episode, the climax of relations between mages and templars... and the one person who holds the fragile peace in his hands...
Spoilers!!:
I realize my decision with Anders may be a bit controversial. And I was tempted to put something in this episode addressing that. But while I personally had a difficult time with this decision, and with what Anders did, I feel like the choice I made was right for my Hawke. She has lost too much to lose her lover, even if the events he triggered and the price he asked was too much. I don't know how things will turn out with these two, but you can rest assured, that Hawke will defend Anders life to the end. Like she said before, she loves him, but that doesn't mean she agrees with everything he does or says. But Hawke, unlike the other protagonists in the Dragon Age series, is the only one who is allowed to be *selfish*. You could see it as bad selfish or good selfish. But is it so much to ask, in world that has taken so much, that she keep the one man who looks at her like she is his whole world, even as that world comes crumbling down? It's not perfect and it's not pretty, but she stands with him against the world, even as it turns on them. That's what she promised him, and he promised her a world where their children could be born free, mage or not.
