Previously, Heorot finished solving the Mini Medal puzzles on Furrowfield, and he hunted down some super-strong monsters. Now, it is time for the last two base battles on this island.

When he is ready, Heorot talks to Malroth (time 1:08). Heorot agrees to begin the battle against the Brainy Badboon's monster minions.

Afterwards, the battle begins (time 1:35). In the first phase, Heorot, Malroth, and the Furrowfielders battle Gremlins and Badboons. The second phase includes Cumauluses, Merluscs, and a Deadnaut. The third phase features a large group including Gremlins, Bodkin Bowyers, Prestidigitators, and Deadnauts. In the last phase, there are Merluscs, Prestidigitators, and large Badboons.

After some fighting, all the enemies are defeated (time 4:13). The boss battle becomes available.

Heorot speaks with Malroth to start the boss battle (time 4:30). A scene introduces the Brainy Badboon, the Pestilential Primate.

After the intro, the battle begins (time 6:18). Unlike the first Dragon Quest Builders, the battle-capable townspeople will be able to participate in the boss battle. Get out of the way as the Brainy Badboon charges; there is no stopping its initial attack. The Brainy Badboon sends out some backup, some Badboons. Afterwards, the way to stop the Brainy Badboon's charge is revealed: banana peels. Heorot must grab a banana peel and place it directly in the Brainy Badboon's path to trip it up. Afterwards, the Brainy Badboon will be vulnerable to attack for a good while.

The Brainy Badboon will send out more backup, Badboons and a large Badboon. When he gets ready to charge again, he will change position, so be on the lookout. His next wave uf backup consists of large Badboons and large Deadnauts.

After the third wave of backup is defeated, the Brainy Badboon will start fuming. He will spit clouds of darkness directly at Heorot. Heorot can dodge these attacks easily if he just keeps moving. Then, when the Brainy Badboon prepares his charge again, he will change positions twice. Be ready.

In the end, Heorot, Malroth, and the Furrowfielders defeat the Brainy Badboon (time 11:15). Heorot and Malroth reach Level 10, the level cap for the Furrowfield chapter. Also, Heorot can claim the Leaf of Life, which the Brainy Badboon left behind.

A post-victory scene takes place in Furrowfield Farm (time 12:00). The townspeople repair the damage to the base.

Heorot speaks with Rosie for her next errand (time 14:12). With the Leaf of Life, he can now make the Water of Life. To help him out, Rosie gives him 3 Cabbages, 3 Wheat, 3 Sugar Cane, 3 Tomatoes, and 3 Pumpkins.

At the workbench, Heorot puts together the Water of Life. It requires the Leaf of Life and one of each type of crop grown in Furrowfield.

After making the Water of LIfe, Heorot reports to Rosie (time 16:09). She instructs him to pour the Water of Life at a location that she has marked at the top of the Deitree. Errand complete!

At the top of the Deitree, Heorot pours the Water of Life on the marked square between the four Heartwood blocks and the Coralilies (time 17:21). The new Deitree is finally complete, and a lovely scene takes place. The mission "Sowing the Seeds of Success" is complete! The Deitree speaks to Heorot afterwards.

In the morning, the normal town music from Dragon Quest V begins playing. Rosie has the last errand of Furrowfield available.

Now, Heorot will go in search of some collectibles hidden in Furrowfield Bog. He heads out, but he returns because I realize that he will need 20 sheaves of Wheat for a sidequest.

When Heorot is ready, he warps to the Clifftop Cabin (time 23:09).

Due west of the Clifftop Cabin, past the puzzle, Heorot finds the entrance to a cave in the southwest corner of the bog (time 24:05). He finds an ant colony within.

In the south of the cave, Heorot finds one of the collectible items, the Stackable Drackolyte (time 24:35). He learns how to make the Stackable Drackolyte.

At the western end of the cave, Heorot finds a Fat Rat with a sidequest (time 25:19). Besides worrying about becoming ant food, the rat is also hungry. It asks for 20 Wheat.

Heorot turns in the 20 Wheat (time 25:53). The Fat Rat rewards him with a bunch of Grass Seeds. Sidequest complete!
