Just as the name implies, he'll wreck you if you aren't prepared. His spells always go haywire (although for some reason when he used Kazammle on my Paladin it didn't) and he attacks 2 or 3 times per turn. Knight Watch was the key to winning here.

Also, I would like to mention that my grotto map contains Metal King Slimes on floors 5-8. However, I didn't train because there were Moai Minstrels and Slugly Betsys on that floor too, which I'm not good at killing.
